Chris and Nick, of Bay Shore Marine, are going to be doing a class for ASN SAILORS AND INTERESTED SAILING GUESTS! Perfect timing for learning before commissioning our boats for another sailing season.

Our instructors, both experienced diesel mechanics, will be gathering the engine types of those participating, and incorporating their engine specifics into both the first 3 hour complete engine system review, and answering specific questions in the following 3 hours of hands-on and demonstration.

Only 20 spots available. Class size will remain small to give all ample time to get their questions answered and we get plenty of time in the hands-on and demo phase of the day.

PART ! of the Day - Presentation

1. Basic Diesel Engine Principle(s)
2. Mechanical
3. Fuel System
4. Exhaust System
5. Cooling System
6. Electrical System

PART II of the Day - Workshop

We are going to rebuild a sea water pump, remove and install a heat exchanger bundle. Pull, test and rebuild an injector. Adjust valves. Changed fuel filters and bleed the engine. Possibly check engine alignment.
